Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts (WHCMA), a highly-regarded and long-standing OBGYN practice based in Worcester, MA, has entered into a partnership with Physicians for Women’s Health (dba Women’s Health Connecticut (WHC)), one of the nation’s largest and most successful single-specialty networks. WHC is part of Women’s Health USA, a portfolio company of Sverica Capital. The addition of WHCMA under WHC’s umbrella further solidifies WHC as one of the largest and most successful women’s health groups in the nation. Provident Healthcare Partners (“Provident”) served as exclusive financial advisor to Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts (WHCMA).  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Always professional and responsive to our concerns, Provident managed to understand the complexity of our organization with 12 partners. They were always available to us and helped us not only get to the finish line of this transaction but meet the financial expectations that were presented early on,” stated Dr. Peter Davidow, Co-Founder of WHCMA.

“Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts has developed a highly respected platform for Ob/Gyn, mammography, and lab services. With Women’s Health of Connecticut as a partner, the combined entities will greatly expand access to high quality women’s health services throughout the state,” noted AJ Shekar, Vice President at Provident.

“Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts is the leader for women’s health services in the greater-Worcester market that they serve. With the additional resources and backing of their partnership with Women’s Health USA, they will look to replicate their high level of care across the Massachusetts market,” commented Scott Davis, Director at Provident.
